My Role + Challenge
My role was updating the content on Citytv app through all the various device which include desktop, tablet, and mobile. Design was required for each element of the showpage like logo and show artwork. I worked with the dev team to ensure all the assets were implemented correctly as well as making improvements to the design, UI, and functionality. QA testing was involved based on firmware updates for the devices and app improvements. I frontend coded campaigns like Holiday pages, Fall Preview page and big show events like the GRAMMYs.
The Citytv App
Each show required me to update the synopsis of the show, logo, artwork, and embedded videos using the 3rd party tool, Brightcove. Of course, different sizes were required for each device. In collaboration with UX team, I was the lead Producer for design and frontend coding for special projects, campaigns, and contest promos.
Citytv partnered with L’Oreal to have voting contest who had the best look of the evening as well as entering a contest to win new L’Oreal products. I worked with the marketing specialist and L’Oreal to approve on design and layout of the contest. As well as the navigation of the experience of social feed to the live feeds.
59th Annual GRAMMY Awards
The Citytv app was an all access pass to Music’s Biggest Night with Rogers’ exclusive multiplatform coverage of the 59th Annual GRAMMYs Awards. Using the 3rd party app Second Street, we were able to have live social feeds while the GRAMMYs was airing. The viewers can vote for the “Best New Artist” or “Best Song”.
Below is the traffic to the site the evening of the GRAMMYs aired and viewed on the Citytv app on all devices.
